Cheryl Arkison Workshops

The Calgary Modern Quilt Guild is pleased to be bringing Calgary's very own Queen of Improv Cheryl Arkison to teach her “Random Abstractions” and “Sew What You Mean” workshops.

Random Abstractions
Using your favourite landscape, structure, or place we will translate it into a quilt design. With various improv techniques and direction you can capture your inspiration. No two projects will be the same.

Sew What You Mean
Say what you want to say, but say it in a quilt. From simple holidays greetings to profound statements, use words in quilts to convey your message. This class covers planning and construction for any letter. This is an improv technique. Fabric selection and value are also discussed in the class.
