January Meeting

January's meeting was so much fun for those who were able to attend. We were fortunate to have a presentation on a monthly class offered at Tradtional Pastimes on the last Wednesday of every month. They will be helping sew along Midnight at the Oasis and Gyspy Wife Quilt patterns by Jen Kingwell. In this class you can also purchase fabrics chosen to compliment the design of the quilts.

Liberty Love Marcelle Medallion Quilt
Phillipa's beautiful Marcelle Medallion Quilt from the Liberty Love book. She improvised and added extra borders for width and length!

Phillipa made this for her daughter in law as a christmas gift!

Phillipa's Deer Quilt by Luke Haynes, tutorial link here:

Dianne made this beautiful quilted patchwork bag with a really nice zipper!

Diane showed us some little selvage projects she recently made, this one is a thread catcher.

Kari made some cute zipper pouches from a free Craftsy class.

Becca made this quilted pillow cover, she has great taste in fabric! Here is the tutorial she used:

Another disappearing Nine Patch table runner was shown. This was a group challenge from last fall. Beautiful work!

Andrea made us fall in love with her "manly" quilt. So beautiful and creative. The quilting is stunning!

Andrea also shared a baby quilt she made.

I also shared my finished Marcelle Medallion Quilt with the group but since I was taking the photos, I don't have one of my quilt at the meeting.

Julie also shared a tutorial for a kitchenaid mixer cover on our facebook page. Here is the link:

I was so excited about it, I bought some fabric from Traditional Pastimes that night and made one as a gift!

I'm sorry if I omitted some photos of projects that were shown. I have terrible photo taking skills at times.
